Well if she follows this path, Wilma will be the first hurricane I’ve gone through since I’ve had my condo. Doesn’t look like it’ll be too strong, but we wont really know what to really expect til Thursday or Friday. Good thing liz postponed the Disney trip.

This week has flown by …

We’re probably half way unpacked, though it doesn’t really look like it, since our condo is filled with boxes still.
No word on our missing box, I’m starting to get worried we’ll never get it back. I’ve realized not only does that box have all my computer cables, but also 2 natural keyboards, 2 webcams and my dvd burner .. its hard to figure out what else is missing, or how much compensation would get everything back.
I tore out the closet shelf from the 2nd bedroom since it was basically falling out of the wall. Hopefully we’ll get a good shelving system in there that’ll work well for an office, pretty excited about that room.
Yesterday I picked up my application for substitute teaching, and hopefully I’ll make it to the temp agency soon.
Been trying to cook more lately .. which is very hard because I have the smallest kitchen ever! But at least I’m trying
We also upgraded to Digital cable and DVR yesterday .. its soooo cool .. I really like On Demand

Thats pretty much it .. hanging out at mom and dad’s today while their granite counter tops are being installed .. this place is almost finished!

Friday night we got a call from our furniture delivery guy who said he was in the state and he could come whenever we wanted, so he showed up 10am Saturday! They unloaded everything in about 2 hours .. and now we’re left with piles of boxes and the puzzle of trying to figure out how to fit everything here. Especially the 5 kitchen boxes .. since our kitchen is already full So far I’ve emptied 2 boxes .. yep .. just 2 .. and those were filled with a bunch of other boxes and bags .. that I haven’t touched. Moving is so much work.

On top of that .. both Sean and I caught some kinda nasty cold .. I lost my voice Thursday so I had to cancel my appt, and poor Sean’s also got a wisdom tooth coming in the wrong way .. been a pretty lousy week. Today I’m feeling better, although I still have a stuffy nose. Hopefully everything will be back to normal this week. Now that I have my PC and my job hunting stuff .. I’ll be working on my resume and submitting it to everybody I can find on Monster. Part of me wants to go get a job a best buy or someplace like that .. its weird .. like I was so happy to get away from the cube job .. but now I can’t really picture myself anywhere but in an office. I’ll keep you updated as I figure things out

Well I started making calls to the temp agency & a recruiter I used in the past .. have an appt. with the temp agency Thursday. Ironically I started to get inspired to start developing some of my ideas for online marketing .. so I’ve been trying to come up with plans to develop those and see what happens.

Today the floor guys got the main entry way done .. I’m guessing they’ll make it all the way to the kitchen today .. but we’ll see. Mom and Dad’s house is looking really good

Last night I made chicken breasts stuffed with mozzarella, tomatoes and basil .. really good .. I’ll post the recipe (and pictures) when I get home tonight

Just got a letter from our old apartment complex that they re-rented our apartment on September 22nd! Which means we’re no longer responsible for it .. plus they’re refunding us for the rent we already paid!

It’s our 2nd week in FL .. and still no furniture. I called today and found out that our stuff left 2 days ago and that the driver has 1 stop in Texas and then will come to us .. then he mumbled something about 5 days but I couldn’t tell if he was saying 5 days from the Texas stop or 5 days from when they left CA .. I’m hoping for the latter. So hopefully we’ll get our stuff this week, and we can throw out my old bed that SUCKS!!

This weekend we went to Tish and Ben’s wedding which was totally fun. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a bride enjoy herself more then Tish She’s was incredibly happy jumping around on the dance floor.

Sunday Sean and I went to my parents to help move furniture around, as they’re getting new wood floors put in this week. Today I’m at the house, hiding in my old bedroom, as they tear up the ugly brown linoleum that has been on the floors since we moved in 20+ years ago. The house looks so bright and open with all the furniture moved around and the brown floors gone .. its crazy to see the house like this. I’m sure mom will have pictures at some point.

This week I’ll be camping out here pretty much every day .. Most of the work in their house should be done this week.
