The calm before the storm
Sean and I are enjoying a relaxing weekend of nothing
Today I am working on my personal sites, its been awhile since I’ve done any upgrading. I think I might tackle my digital pictures next, I’d like to figure out someway to create physical mini-scrapbooks from my digital albums (and descriptions) over the past 4 years. Of course to start that I want to fix my Jungle Photography photo album (its been broken for almost a year if you didn’t notice). Anyways we’ll see how far I get. This weekend is probably our last chance for calm before the storm of November. Some of you might know Sean and I have a big project going on next month, plus some travel, for those who dont know I’ll be letting the cat out of the bag soon. ![]()
Forcing the Halloween spirit
Since we’re not decorating the condo this year, I figured I’d decorate my site. Just wanted to get into the Halloween spirit, I think Ella might be the only one dressing up down here ![]()
What a week …
This week .. actually the last 3 weeks have just flown by. My fitness schedule and diet have been thrown out the window. Since I signed up for pilates I think I’ve made it to 3 classes. I haven’t really gained weight, but I can tell all my muscle I built with weight training is pretty much gone. Monday I will be getting back on schedule with the diet and hopefully cardio and a little weight training.
Last weekend we had a wonderful trip to Disney with my family. Got to sample some yummy food at Epcot’s Food and Wine Fest and even got to ride the updated Pirates of the Caribbean. Pirates had wait times of 40 and 45 min both times we rode it (Mom and I went, then Dad and Sean decided to make a special trip just for Pirates) .. I’ve never seen Pirates that busy in my life!
This past week I found out an friend of mine had taken his own life, and I spent 2 days with his family and at services. He was not in his right mind when he made his choice, just so unfair to his family and friends
This was my first funeral for somebody who I’d consider a friend, somebody who I spent time with and knew for over 8 years, and this was also my first funeral for a suicide. It hit me pretty hard. Again a reminder of how short our time here can be. I don’t want to be reminded like this ever again.
Here’s hoping for a better week this week.
