We’re back from Jamaica, the trip was nice. We were there for 6 days and it seemed too short. The wedding was beautiful, the resort was nice .. we had a room right on the ocean, pictures to come. It was tough to leave paradise with 24 hour food, but we’re both happy to be home (and sleep in our own bed).

Now its time to focus on the move. Yesterday we decided to rent another van and move as much of our stuff up there as we can. We already have a bed there, so we can survive without our big furniture for a while, that way the condo wont look empty (or too cluttered) when people come to look at it (maybe they’ll pay extra to rent it furnished). Anyways tomorrow we head up with the last of our office stuff, and as many boxes from the condo that we can fit, and then I guess its time to change our address :) I just want to be settled already!

After staring at Amazon.com from 3am to 6:30am .. waiting for them to release the Wii, I decided to take a chance and head down to Target. I walked up just as they were handing out tickets, I ended up #47 out of 60, and 2 hours later I walked out with my new game system, and Zelda :)

I’m starving and exhausted ..
Amazon still hasn’t released their Wii’s.

I know its soo cliche, but home ownership is a bitch. If it isn’t one thing .. its another. We had our water system installed last week, the next day I noticed there wasn’t any water pressure in the house. They came back out told me the pump had been running nonstop due to a clogged pipe, said they replaced the pipe and everything should be fine. I went back south that day, and the pump was still running .. so I turned it off while we were gone for the weekend. Sean and I got back up here Tuesday .. turned the pump on to find out its still running. So he calls the water company, who was of course, closed. Wednesday afternoon they come out to investigate .. and tell us that they installed a defective pump, and they replace it free of charge. Then, Thursday, our drinking water stops working! So they come out for a 4th time, and tell us that on the 2nd trip somebody must have turned it off, and never turned it on .. great service guys :\

Now the reason why we came back this week was to be around for Sears to deliver our new washer & dryer Thursday. So they show up .. and the dryer has a huge dent in the top of it! They ask if we want them to set it up, so we can use it until they can send a replacement, or for them to just take it with them. Well we have them set it up, and they plug it in .. and it makes a horrible banging noise. Meanwhile Sean and I keep switching off talking to Sears customer service to get us a new dryer ASAP, since we’re leaving for Jamaica next week. We’re getting pissed off at the people on the phone and the guys ask again if we want to keep the dryer .. since it doesn’t work .. we said no .. but I guess that pissed them off .. so they took the whole dryer and the pedestal that it sits on. I asked them twice if they should leave the pedestal, since it was fine .. and they said no, they’re taking everything. From then on, we told every rep Sean and I spoke to that we need the pedestal delivered too. So today they show up with our new dryer .. and guess what .. no pedestal! The work order the guy had actually said the old dryer was supposed to be picked up too!! He got on the phone with customer service .. and couldn’t resolve anything, finally Sean got in touch with them and made arrangements to get the pedestal delivered after we come back from vacation. Ugh .. its just so frustrating!

We went furniture shopping yesterday .. found some stuff that we loved .. but we didn’t buy anything yet .. so many decisions. I tried to hang shades up in our room too, and failed miserably .. I’m afraid we’re going to have to hire a handyman.

Mom, Liz and Ella are on their way up to check the place out and get some lunch, can’t wait to show off our super empty house! :)

Since Sean and I aren’t planning on moving entirely until December .. we decided to rent a van tomorrow to move up some essentials. A bed, a desk, a chair .. and as many boxes as we can fit in the van .. try to get rid of some of the clutter around here! The goal is to make it a little more ‘rent friendly’. We haven’t even had our agent over to take pictures yet .. so much for getting the condo rented before the end of the year :P Hopefully we wont have too much trouble when we finally do list it.

The van is not a one way rental, so I’ll be driving up Tuesday, driving back Wednesday .. Sean will be staying up there since our W/D is supposed to be delivered sometime Thursday. I will either drive back up Wed. or Thurs .. and we’ll be staying through the weekend so that the rest of the family can come up and see the new house on Saturday! Should be an exausting, fun, and cold weekend :)

Looks like most of my look alikes have big cheeks .. I guess maybe I do too :) Also no male matches came up .. where are all the male celebs with big cheeks huh?

Friday Sean and I closed on our new house in Grant, FL. We found a 4/3 with 1.4 acres of land, its so much more then we’re used to! We spent our first night there last night, no street lights the moonlight lit up our entire backyard, it was amazing. Also its so quiet, no condo neighbors banging on the wall, their kids screaming outside our window. We’re really looking forward to moving day.

The original plan was to move up in December, but after spending our first night there we think we’re going to try to get up there sooner.

There are a few pictures in the photo album from the first time we saw the place. More to come as we move in :)
