When in doubt, smile.

When Sean and I bought this house .. I remember thinking what the heck are we going to do with 3 bathrooms! Well this morning I realized we have really adapted to using all 3 bathrooms, its actually hard to believe we used to just have one. Today for instance, its FREEZING here .. the big master bath is open into the bedroom, so it really doesnt keep the heat in very well. So I took a shower in the back bathroom. Then I’ve been keeping my hair dryer in the 3rd bathroom, so that I can use it without bothering Sean if he sleeps in. So I used bathroom number 3 to do my hair (I also keep my toothbrush in there, I have no idea why). Then back to the master bathroom to finish getting ready (lotion, deodorant, etc) .. I love having so much space!

This afternoon I just wiped out like over 50 people from my myspace page. It feels pretty good, cleaning things up. Next stop is to move this site to another server along with all my other sites. (<- Super Geek) I also bought paint for my office and plan on tackling that in the next few days. Other then that not much has been happening with setting up the house.

I have been working though, I have decided to start my own business. Yep, a pet photography business. Its something I always wanted to do, and infact, my first domain that I bought in 2000, good old JunglePhotography.com .. that was bought for my pet photography business. Anyways, I’ve been seriously thinking about doing it for the last 2 years (since we left Cali), I even worked for a photographer for a year to prepare. Finally I realized we have the capital, and I have the time, to finally get something going.

I really haven’t been motivated in the past, and I realized that I haven’t really told too many people, because I have a real fear of failure. So I’m putting it all out there, and telling everybody so that maybe I’ll keep at it so as not to let my loved ones down. I still have alot to learn, alot of things to put together, but I’m hoping to have a portfolio and site up by my birthday this year. There, I said it .. that’s my first goal and timeline. I’m also going to set up a blog to chronicle this whole process, since I find myself emailing random photographers to find out how they did it, I want something to reference when people ask me how I did it I’ll post the link when I get it set up.

Here’s my project for the week ..There are 3 kinds of tomatoes, red peppers, green peppers, jalapeno peppers, parsley, cilantro, basil, romaine lettuce and strawberries :)Its only half of the bed I planned and i have a ton of seeds to plant on the other half .. but I have to get rid of the grass first :PHopefully nothing else will eat it before we have a chance to

Olive oil drizzeled of the shrimp (2-3 tbs)
Garlic 1-3 cloves crushed
lemon or lime juice (juice from 1)
cover with paprika (don’t worry when you mix it it blends)
2-3 green onions chopped (or any onion about 1/2)
1/2 teaspoon jerk seasoning
Dash of red pepper flakes
mix and cool for 1/2 hour
That’s it I think but you never know if I left something out. When I make it I just grab whatever is handy, like Ken’s italian dressing in addition to the Olive oil

Happy New Year! 2007 has started out with a bunch of ‘new’ things. Sean and I have totally moved out of the condo and into our new house in Grant. Everything is still in boxes, but at least it’s here Last week we also picked up a new car to replace the Tiburon. The tibby was on its last legs, and the clutch went out 2 weeks ago. On the day after christmas we headed to the dealership and decided on a new Acura TL Type S. The thing is a space ship, nav. system, bluetooth for your phone, voice commands, XM radio .. and so many other neat features. Its also fun to drive, but much bigger then the Tiburon or the MX-5. Today I’m going to be unpacking boxes and waiting for our new TV to be delivered .. Like I said, this year its really a ‘new’ year
