This weekend I met up with Arielle in Savannah to be her backup photographer for her friends’ wedding. I headed up to Hilton Head Island, SC the night before (since all the decent Savannah hotels were booked) and spent a lovely evening on the coast. I expected lots of beautiful sand dunes, but I really didnt find any that were worth photographing, so I ended up taking some pictures of driftwood and rope instead.
The next morning I happened to wake up at quarter past 6am and looked out my window to see this beautiful purple sky, so I had to run down and grab some shots of the sunrise.
Then I headed to Savannah to pick Arielle up at the airport (and picked up a speeding ticket from an Ohio State Buckeye who loved my National Champ. plate) Arie and I ate at a lovely bakery, then wandered around the town taking some pictures. Here’s one of my favorites.
Then we checked into our Bed and Breakfast for the weekend. The Gastonian was awesome and had tons of really neat features .. including this window that doubled as a door to some of the rooms on the side of the building.
Sunday was the wedding, here are a couple of my favorite shots, I loved her bouquet!
On our way out of town, we stopped at one of the famous Savannah Graveyards and took a few last shots.
