Well I made it to the gym last night .. everything went as scheduled .. except I didnt realize how out of shape I really was until I stepped onto that elliptical machine. UGH .. five min and I was so over it. So I moved onto a recumbant bike and made myself stick it out another 15 min, so in total I worked out 20 min .. and I was drenched in sweat
So .. I didn’t make my goal of sticking out for 30 min, but at least I made it to the gym and got some exercise. Tonight Rocky has training so I dont think I’ll go back tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll make it to Yoga with Nikki, and maybe get there a little early or stick around afterwards for some cardio.
Today I took the 3-some to the local dog park .. well, local being 30 min away. They love it there, so much room to run, and luckily this time another playful puppy showed up. Watching them have play with other dogs just makes me wish we lived closer, or that I made more of an effort to bring them there more often. I talked to the attendant a little who said the most popular times are weekday evenings and saturday mornings .. so hopefully I’ll get my act together and bring them out when they have more pups to play with. I also found out more about the problems the dog parks are having with funding, so I started thinking that I could be a little more pro-active when it comes to doggie recreation, because, well what else do I have going on. So I started thinking about what I could possibly do, on a small scale, to get the word out about dog things in Brevard, and I decided to start a blog. HA! Yeah, I’m going to give my dog her own blog, and see what happens. Today I’ll be setting up DaisysTales.com, making her a little reporter for our county. I think, if I do it right, I could get search engine traffic, and actually get people involved or something. At least I have nothing to lose by putting it together
Good job! Getting started is the first step!
Congrats on getting started again. It’s not easy to do! This weekend, I hiked with pro-hiker Michele Schanker, Dave, their friends (Kevin & Ashley) and John from Glacier Point to the Valley Floor in Yosemite. It was 8.5miles. I wanted to jump over the edge and fall to the bottom. It was so hard! I know what being out of shape feels like. My body is paying for it now and I wish I had worked out for weeks beforehand. I wish you great success. See you in December, firm and fit!
I am planning to start walking next week. Erin can’t go to the gym daycare until 3 months so I am eagerly awaiting that day.
Whoo! You made it to the gym. That is definitely the hardest part.
