My sister Liz is also starting up a photo business 
She’s actually more talented then I am, I have more of the technical knowledge, so hopefully in the future we’ll make a great team and start up our own studio. But for now, she needs her own name for her work. So please take a minute and vote for some possible options for her business name:

I broke my sewing machine today .. I’m very upset .. I’m afraid that I actually might have done some damage to it months ago (before Christmas) and it finally just had enough of me playing rough with it. But its less then a year old and should still be under warranty. I’m hopefully going to bring it to an authorized dealer this week and see what they say about it. Cross your fingers its not an expensive fix. I was actually trying to finish up projects to finally put together AuntieErica.com .. blah.
Update on the Cadbury conspiracy – I went to ANOTHER Publix Friday and they were nowhere to be found! But I stopped at Walgreens next door and picked up a dozen They’re tempting me from my freezer .. mmmm.

For company names, I always like names that sounds sweet and have some meaning that you either have to think about a little bit to get it or have a story behind them. Some examples are Whispers Photography, In a Baby Carriage (baby announcements), or Yapa (new funky little store in downtown Melbourne). Maybe there’s something about Ella that inspires you that you can use as a part of a story? Sparkle Eyes? Maybe a pet name for Ella? Maybe some play on words that involves a photography term? ShutterSisters is already taken, but I’m sure there’s something similar that you guys could come up with for your possible future sister-photography thing.
Hey.. is there some nickname that you guys had for eachother growing up or maybe some little story that you share?
That said, it seems like in the photography line of work, using your own name is also a good way to go, so I’m sure that whatever Liz chooses will be great!
I can’t wait to see more of Liz’s photography because “she’s actually more talented than I am” is really saying a lot. You are a VERY talented photographer, Erica. And I’m not just saying that cuz you’re my best friend.

I like StudioElla. That has a nice professional ring to it.
I like StudioElla, too, but like Keri’s idea of having something more personal and creative, although I can’t really think of any. Something like LPphotography is catchy to me because it flows, or even ELPphotography to include both of you. But neither of those are very creative. Damn my brain for being boring right now!
