Yesterday I helped my neighbor with her dance recital. This was my 2nd year of helping, and I have to say I loved every moment single moment of yesterday. From driving up and down the coast to get to the theater, watching the little ones show up in their costumes & getting them in line for their performances, to babysitting the rowdy guy hip hop routine that was the 2nd to last performance of the night (substitute teacher Erica kicked in there), and of course .. watching & photographing some of the performances. It was just so much fun. I came home sore and tired, to Sean cooking up a steak that Nikki had marinated and froze for us, yum! (thanks Nik!). I have to say .. today was a good day.
This is my neighbor, owner of the dance studio
Here are her and a few of her instructors, on pointe
Here’s another instructor during their ‘teachers performance’
This is one of the younger groups of dancers, 2 & 3 year olds, aren’t they adorable!
Here are the hip hop boys
Here is a neat picture of some tap dancers
These girls were performing to Black Parade by My Chemical Romance
I found out that photographing hip hop routines was tough, but .. I loved photographing lyrical & ballet dances, here are a few favorites.
