I wrote to Bush #1 when i was about 9. We were going on a family vacation to DC and I wrote the pres a few weeks before hand to ask if he wanted to have a picnic with me and my family on the white house lawn. I also told him how to 'cure the country's debt'. I got a white house thing like 4 months later... Come to think of it, i wish i kept a copy of that letter...I bet it was quite hilarious.
