Stand up 2 cancer

Friday September 5th, 2008 at 8:35 pm

As most of you know this summer I had a bit of a cancer scare. Although, I only had one night where I was actually scared. I feel extremely lucky that I had great doctors and very caring & involved family & friends that made sure I never really worried much. But .. that one night, where I realized that I had lymph nodes swollen on both sides of my abdomen which could’ve meant the difference between a stage one and a later stage diagnosis, I really freaked out. And that’s the closest I ever want to be to cancer.

So if you have a couple extra dollars after donating to your presidential candidate or to Mike’s Race for the Cure, or Chase’s Buddy Walk .. [please click here]

I’m broke, but I donated $5 for Mike to run! I hope he raises lots!

I watched it last night. Cancer has claimed the lives of 2 of my grandmothers, my uncle, and Rob’s 31 year old cousin (who had 3 small children). So…I definitely donated. I have also kept up with the Livestrong campaign. Cancer is such a scary thing! I’m glad your results came back good :) It makes me think about eating healthy, exercising, and taking care of my body!
