Archives for the month of: October, 2008

Last weekend I found a bunch of new photographer friends who happen to maintain blogs for their dogs. I’ve been in love with Dooce’s Daily Chuck for sometime now .. and I know I dont take enough pictures of my puppies .. so .. in an effort to do that .. I updated Daisy’s Tales and hopefully I’ll keep up with it. There’s no way I’m going to have a daily picture of my pups .. because lets face it .. neither of them can balance things on their head [see: Chuck] .. but hopefully I’ll update once or twice a week :) [Daisy's Tales]

Now you get out there and VOTE

Its been a little bit since I wrote a real post on here .. I guess I’ve gotten a bit lazy or rather the rest of my life has gotten a little bit busier. Last Thursday I figured out a way to help me pick up more substitute jobs and ended up subbing for an assistant principal last Friday. On top of that, the assistant principal taught 2 computer classes! How cool is that. Basically I was a floater for the day, helping out in another computer lab for a couple of hours, an ESE class, lunch duty and bus duty. Being in that position meant that I had alot of face time in the office, and the principal asked the secretary to hook me up with more dates in the future. So when I walked out Friday afternoon I have 8 more days at that school in November!

I didn’t end up picking up anything for today because I had my 3 month follow up CT scan. I am feeling alot better, my energy is picking up and I def. notice that my nodes have shrunk. So I expect a good report when I get my results next week.

Back to the weekend .. Friday night I drove to Orlando for dinner with the family which was really nice. Saturday morning I drove back and worked on my photography website for the rest of the weekend. If you haven’t visited it lately I’ve started my re-branding process, updating designs and images .. I’m pretty proud of my css tweaking and I the background I created for my blog. Though I couldn’t have done any of it without Nikki’s beautiful logo, it seriously rocks. Check out my photography site and my photo blog

Sunday night I brought the dogs to the dog park .. the weather was just awesome. I think I might have to bring them back a couple times this week .. I know they’d love me for it :)

Tomorrow I have a half day sub job, at a middle school. Half days rock!

Halloween is Friday .. I want to buy a pumpkin just for Obama:

I’m just going to repost what I just posted over on my photo blog .. this guy is too adorable not to share with everybody :)

I brought my camera to the dog park this afternoon hoping to catch some recent pictures of my 2 little ones then this guy showed up. He’s only 14 weeks old and soooo tiny!

Palm Bay Dog Park

Here he is hanging out with Daisy, she was really gentle with him.

Palm Bay Dog Park

This yorkie is smaller then my mini dachshunds. With 3 chihuahuas and this yorkie, Big Boy & Daisy were close to the biggest dogs in the park :)

Palm Bay Dog Park

Well here’s one shot I got of Big Boy

Palm Bay Dog Park

And one of Daisy, and surprise, I caught her with her eyes closed. I swear this dog closes her eyes for the camera on purpose, she’s almost impossible to photograph! I have a whole photo album with pictures of Daisy with her eyes shut.

Hey .. most of those songs are up on Amazon.com’s MP3 service (a lot more then what I could find on iTunes) I think you can also preview the songs on here, in case any of the above links dont work :)

I’d like to vote early but I’m having trouble finding information (and legalese translations) for the state & local amendments & candidates.

Anybody in Brevard or Florida who has some recommendations for me .. I’m all ears!!

UPDATE – Florida Today has a very thorough elections section including interviews with all the candidates, breakdowns of the amendments & referendums .. just what I was looking for! [click here]

Also – [Florida Bar Merit Retention Judicial Poll] – a poll of lawyers who have worked with the judges in question

Liz got this mix 2 weeks ago and I’m already working on another one :) I first started putting songs together for it a month ago, and played a few for Ella during my last visit. We finished the night watching the Gator game, but by then I was starting to feel lousy because of the cold I picked up in my travels. The next day we had a brunch at the Donald Barn that was really nice, but I didn’t take my camera out (again, felt crappy).

I still feel crappy .. so here are a few pictures from New Orleans :)
