Ok .. lets try this again
[This list] expired last August .. and the last thing on the list is to start another one. It was really tough coming up with 101 things the first time, so this might be a progressive list. The first 33 are from my original list. I’ll just add on any new things as I think them up. Feel free to leave comments of anything you think I should add on
Also if you want to make your own list [click here] .. I like to go through the other lists for inspiration for my list
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
My 1001 Day Project ends on Saturday, October 15, 2011

101. On Day 1001, publish a new 101 Things in 1001 Days list
Nice list. Many of those things I’d love to do with you!
I’m up for 001, 007, 015, 016, 018, 024, 025, 026, 033, 040, and 043 if you need some company.
What an amazing list! I really believe you can do all these things, as long as they are “up to you.” You have to rely on Sean for one of them, but that’s alright
I love that you want to learn about Taoism and Buddhism (the difference). I can surely help you with this, but if you want the basics, pick up a very simple copy of the Tao Te Ching. The Wiki is helpful: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tao_Te_Ching
I consider myself a Taoist at my core. I fall away from my core sometimes, but when I really think about something, I realize that I am one with the Tao again. I think I’ve fallen away from my core beliefs more often than not these past few years, but overall… it’s how I live my life: knowing that every white has it’s black, no matter what shade or intensity! Knowing that everything must be experienced (both sides) to know the whole – to have true wisdom. It goes along with my belief in non-linear reincarnation, and my disbelief in life to life karma.
Anyhow, I hope you do enjoy fulfilling your list! It’s a great list! I may make my own one day… I should.
I love the list. But you’re cutting yourself short…you have way more than 98 days until 10/15/11 rolls around.
Great list!! I’ve been going to Bikram Yoga again, so anytime you want to join me, let me know and you can knock out #21. This is the best time of year to try it since the humidity and temps are down outside, it makes it much more tolerable inside
