2 weeks ago I found a gray hair .. and upon further investigation .. I had a patch of gray hair at the top left corner of my face
I pretended it was blonde for a few days .. but eventually I asked Sean to take a look and sure enough, he agreed it was gray. I’M TOO YOUNG FOR GRAY HAIR!!! I guess this past year really has been stressful. So I picked up some dye .. this time trying Garnier Nutrisse, mostly because it was cheaper and I think one of you guys recommended it. Anyways .. I’m not too happy with the results. The color is pretty close to the one I ended up with using Feria .. but the conditioner was terrible .. I couldn’t get a brush through my hair afterwards. Plus I’ve washed my hair twice since originally dyed it .. and I’m still getting color on my towel!
On top of that .. now I think the color is too dark. I think I was actually getting used to the light brown my hair had faded to, and if it wasn’t for those stupid gray hairs .. I probably wouldn’t have done it. Seriously, my face is so pale against this darkness, I think I look sickly. So now I’m crossing my fingers that this color fades out as nice as the last one. I’m hoping that I’ll be getting my hair highlighted again by this summer. I kinda miss being a blonde.
I’m currently waiting for the meaty part of Pioneer Woman’s Best Lasagna Ever to cook down .. I’m whipping up a baked ziti that I plan on cutting up in small portions to freeze for later
I can’t wait for Pioneer Woman’s cookbook to come out. I end up printing her recipes every time I make one of her meals and I feel bad wasting paper, but I always end up splashing something on it
I personally love Clairol products. I use hydriance. It does take a few washings to stop bleeding, but the colors are lively and vivid. Try that next time.
As for the dark color, I know how you feel. I was severely depressed when I dyed my hair black accidentally (thinking it was dark brown): Look how sad I am: http://www.mirdonamy.com/photos/displayimage-search-0-36.html
I hope it fades fast for you. I love your blonde hair… I hope you go back to that one day. Brown does look nice on you, but I will always see you as blonde in my mind when I think of you!
Now I want baked ziti!
I was just thinking today that I need to get some hair color. I’m finally at a point in my life where I realize that I like my natural color, but I too have been seeing some greys lately. Of course. I finally don’t want to dye my hair, and now I have to. Perfect.
I’ll take Air up on the Hydriance tip. Lively and vivid sound good. I bet this dark color you have will fade nice. I’ll go dark too and we can be ghostly together.
I was probably the one who recommended Garnier because I’ve been using it for years. That’s crazy that you didn’t like the conditioner because that’s one of the things that I really like about it. It always leaves my hair feeling much softer than it was before I colored it, even when I was using blonde.
I guess one of the benefits of having always dyed my hair is that I have no idea if I have gray yet or not.
Probably never will know either.
I’ve had gray hairs for years! It’s ridiculous! I always know when it’s time to color again since I see them popping up all over my head. Not to confuse you with haircolor advice, but I’ve been using L’Oreal Preference for about the last year once I got fed up with Feria not covering the grays as well, and I really like it. If it’s good enough for Heather Locklear, it’s good enough for me.
