Music For The Road
It’s been awhile since I’ve made a Liz mix .. actually I forgot to post the last one .. anyways .. This wednesday, Liz and I are hopping aboard a tour bus (a ‘rock and roll’ tour bus, with like, bunk beds and such), and I figured it was a good time to share some new music. Most of the driving will happen overnight, we’re supposed to try to sleep while on the bus. Our first stop is Nashville, where we’ll check into a hotel in the morning (like 10 am) so the bus driver can sleep, and then we check out and get back on the road at 10 pm. During the day in Nashville we are planning to check out the Country Music Hall of Fame, which is right across the street from our hotel. Oh! and a crazy coincidence .. the hotel we’re staying at in Nashville is the same hotel that Sean and I stayed at when we drove back to FL from CA .. we really liked it there, so I’m excited to go back. Anyways .. from Nashville we head up to Green Bay, WI for our shows, 2 nights at a big outdoor festival, and then we come home, spending another day in Nashville. Needless to say it’ll be a very interesting experience. I’m planning on bringing a good camera up on board with me so I can document various ‘stops’ we may encounter on the road. The bus also has satellite internet, so hopefully I’ll be updating along the way
Onto the mix:

- The Limousines – Very Busy People
- V-Factory – Love Struck
- The Black Eyed Peas – Boom Boom Pow

- Coconut Records – Microphone * [listen]
- Depeche Mode – Wrong

- Madcom – Beggin * [video]
- The Bravery – This Is Not The End
- Metric – Help I’m Alive * [listen]
- Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Zero

Up Up and Away!
Last week I took a ride in this:
Seriously .. we took this helicopter to the west coast of FL, then to Central FL to look at a tour bus and back again.
Take offs were crazy, the back end goes up first.
But it was a beautiful day for flying
Here you can see the shadow of the ‘copter on the ground
Coming in for landing …
Rainstorm over the Everglades just before we landed after a long day
Playing Catch-Up
All my traveling lately has left me 6 weeks behind on photo editing! 6 weeks! And I know what you’re going to say .. why am I blogging and not editing right now and I have a good explanation. I’m presently in the process of backing up data (tons of photos in those 6 weeks) and I’m looking at a 5 hour no-edit window (can’t risk overwriting or corrupting anything). Anyways …
First off .. I took a job in South FL with Liz’s company. Which means .. I’m relocating to South FL. I made the decision at the end of last month that we wouldn’t renew the lease on our condo tenant so I’ll have a place to stay down there in June. Starting this week though I’m going to be working Mon – Wed in the office there, which gives me a long weekend with Sean back here. The plan for now it to keep both places (as long as we can) .. the condo is really too small for both of us when he’s working from home (no yard for the dogs). So its sort of a compromise. I’m hoping that me living back at the condo will help us with the possible refinancing at the end of the year .. but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. But I’m looking forward to this new experience.
So there’s no sign of things slowing down for me. As crazy as March and April were, the summer looks like it might be just as interesting. May seems to be a slow month in comparison, but I’ll be driving back and forth weekly to SoFL .. so that will def. be keeping me busy. June I have 2 trips scheduled, plus Hive and the move. I’m pretty sure I’ll be sleeping on an air mattress for a few weeks because I’m dreading the actual move.
The week in MA was good, its always good to be with family during tough times. Unfortunately I had some allergic reaction to flowers or something in Nana’s house which turned into a sinus infection by the time we went to Philadelphia. Liz and I had a business trip planned in Philly so we flew from Boston to Philly last week (incase I didn’t mention that). In Philadelphia we put on a big show at the Hard Rock and the crowd was a bit thin in the beginning, but that meant that I got some awesome photo opportunities.
I’ll try to post more as soon as I get through editing .. wish me luck!
Make Up Tips!!
So jokingly .. Sean sent me a featured YouTube video .. he couldn’t understand why that video was featured and thought it was just making fun of a Thai hooker .. anyways she was doing her eyes in the way (an extreme version) of how I’d like to learn. So I bookmarked her and went through her other videos and they’re just amazing .. of course they’re extreme .. but still awesome. I’m so not a girly girl, and neither was my mom .. so You Tube is apparently an awesome place to learn this stuff. Go over an check out Rice Bunny’s YouTube feed
Oh yeah .. I’m working on an recap post .. I’ve just been distracted
